Here's our round up of all the exciting things happening here at Hotel Isaacs.
The construction team have arrived and are in the process of refurbishing our eleven self-catering apartments. Located to the rear of the hotel, our self-catering apartments have proved immensely popular over the years with families, corporate long-stay guests and groups of friends in search of some fun Cork adventures.
However, as you can see below from the final photos taken of the apartments they had become in need of some urgent TLC.
We are so excited to report that we are just two months into a huge refurbishment that will see them be transformed into fresh, modern apartments whilst remaining true to the authentic character of our beautiful building.
Their winter menu made with seasonal ingredients is going down a storm. I say it every time of course but I honestly don’t know how they can possibly best this one!
My personal favourite cocktail at the moment is Black Ice, named after the iconic moment in Irish TV history; a malty but sweet mixture of wild heather, thyme ruby port, grapefruit bitters, locally brewed Blacks Session IPA and Barry's Tea Black Water gin. What's not to like?
We'll bring you special updates on our blog and social with all our goings on at Hotel Isaacs. In the mean time why not come and visit us and see for yourself?!
Colette is a hotel receptionist working at Hotel Isaacs Cork. Her favourite part of the job is meeting the many guests coming from all corners of the globe and sharing with them all the wonders that Cork City and County has to offer. One of her great passions is travelling and exploring new places especially museums, galleries and castles. "One of the things I feel very strongly about is how so many people in Ireland are completely unaware of some of the hidden treasures right on their door-steps. When people go abroad, they push themselves to see all the cultural delights on offer but too often, they have no idea how great what is right in front of them, readily available every day is. I came to Cork as a student in 2008 and I too limited myself and didn't push myself to explore. It took a friend to take me off and show me how truly amazing this city and county is and this is what I want to share with my guests and readers.
