The International Choral Festival may be gone but the sound of music in our Rebel City is only just beginning as we brace ourselves for a summer of some of the best gigs and concerts in the country.

Live at the Marquee: Picture This: 25th and 26th June:
One of Cork’s most beloved summer venues is back with a bang this year. Nothing quite screams summer like a few cocktails in Cask Bar followed by a leisurely stroll down the Marina to the newly erected Marquee. Kicking off with the pop rock band from Kildare-Picture this– make sure you start your summer right! They sold out Virgin Media Park last summer and have already added an extra date to their Marquee residency so definitely not one to rest on your laurels about for so too long.
The Coronas: Live at the Marquee: 27th June:
The Coronas and the Marquee go way back and this year sees the Dublin rockers return for one night only to one of their favourite venues on the banks of the Lee.
Dara Ó’Briain: Live at the Marquee: 29th June:
Here in Cork, we like to mix things up a bit. Who says it has to be all about the music? Enter funnyman Dara Ó’Briain for one night only on June 29th.
Tommy Tiernan: Live at the Marquee: July 4th and 5th:
And, if that wasn’t enough to get you in the mood, everyone’s favourite controversial comedian Tommy Tiernan will be gracing us with his presence for two nights on July 4th and 5th.
Olly Murs: Live at the Marquee: July 13th:
The Troublemaker UK popstar with have you bopping the night away to his infectious and catchy tunes on July 13th.
Cian Ducrot: Live at the Marquee: July 20th:
The Grammy award-winning singer-songwriter hailing from Cork (we produce some of the best here)- local lad Cian Ducrot is set to be one of the summer favourites.
Macklemore: Virgin Media Park: June 5th:
Of course, competition is good and with so many of the world’s best performers wanting to come to Cork, it’s only right and fair that we have another stellar venue to ensure locals and visitors alike have the pick of the crop this summer. Virgin Media Park opens the summer with American rapper-Macklemore.
Duran Duran: Virgin Media Park: 1st July:
Nothing like a bit of rock from the legendary British rock band- Duran Duran to get you in the mood for some summer grooving.
Snow Patrol: Virgin Media Park: June 19th:
Just Say Yes to these Northern-Irish Scottish rockers.
The Saw Doctors: Virgin Media Park: June 14th:
With their mixture of fast, upbeat and crowd-pleasing anthems, you can be guaranteed an energising experience at the Saw Doctors.
The Corrs: Virgin Media Park: June 6th:
Relive your youth with the catchy summer beats of the Corrs. We all know their tunes- Breathless, What can I do, Summer Sunshine. Runaway to a night down memory lane.
